Factory Meets Sand

The GWM Volleyball Campaign

How do you connect the precision of heavy industry with the dynamic energy of professional sports? When Gerätewerk Matrei (GWM) sponsored a major beach volleyball event in Innsbruck, we were tasked with creating a 3-part video campaign to bridge these two completely different worlds. Our concept was simple but visually striking: We brought the sport directly onto the factory floor.

The campaign is built around the contrast between the highly technical, loud environment of GWM's production halls and the athletic explosiveness of beach volleyball, creating a fresh and engaging look for GWM's corporate sponsorship.

The Execution: The visual core of these clips relies on high-energy, seamless match cuts. We transitioned the action directly from the industrial machinery to the sandy volleyball court in mid-motion—like a volleyball being served in the factory and landing in the sand. This required meticulous choreography, identical framing, and precise camera planning across two entirely different locations. In post-production, Caro’s rhythmic editing stitched these contrasting environments together into punchy, fast-paced clips that perfectly translate the energy of the sport into GWM's brand identity.
